Join the American Subcontractors Association of Arizona (ASA of AZ), the Arizonans for Fair Contracting (AFC), and Senator Karen Fann (R-LD1) on Monday, February 5, 2018 beginning at 1:00 p.m. as they rally in support of proportional liability bill SB1271. This event will be held at the Arizona State Senate Building located at 1700 W. Washington St., Phoenix, AZ 85007. The day’s schedule is as follows:
1:00 p.m. – Arrive at the Capitol. Look for ASA and AFC volunteers in the quad on the east side of the Capitol. Surface parking is available on the east and west sides of the complex.
1:15 p.m. – All supporters should be seated in Senate Gallery at this time. It is the shared goal of ASA and AFC to have standing room only.
1:30 p.m. – The Senate will convene. AFC supporters will then receive recognition of their support and an introduction to proportional liability bill SB1271 by Sen. Fann. Senate business will be relatively brief before adjourning to committee sessions.
2:00 p.m. – SB1271 will be heard in the Senate Committee on Commerce and Public Safety. If possible, ASA and AFC ask that everyone attending the rally stay and attend the meeting with them. The hearing begins at 2:00 p.m. and the bill is listed as the third item on the agenda.
It is the shared goal of ASA and AFC to fill both the Senate Gallery and Committee Hearing room in a show of industry solidarity. They need your support and participation to show our legislators that proportional liability bill SB1271 MATTERS to you, your company, and your employees!
Additionally, please call or email your state legislators as soon as possible and urge them to support proportional liability bill SB1271. You can easily locate your state legislators, along with their contact information, via the Arizonans for Fair Contracting website. A few minutes of your time can make a world of difference.
